Little Water Cay is also known as Iguana Island, where you will be sure to spot the indigenous Turks and Caicos Rock Iguanas. On our visit, we were almost greeted by Iguanas. On this trip we had little kids with us and they thoroughly enjoyed seeing and walking around with the local wildlife.
Uninhabited and beautiful by nature, this small Cay is home to peaceful beaches and quiet hideaways. It is perfect for beaching it and because it is so peaceful and quiet, your people watching turns into iguana watching.
We arrived here by boat (charter). Upon arrival we were in awe at the realization that we were the only ones on this island. Almost close to heaven, no?!
It was a great day.
– You are advised (By the TC Islands) not to feed the iguanas
– You can also get here by kayak rentals or hotel organized tours
– Be sure to wander around the island. It is not that big
