The Tobago Blue Food Festival, also labelled “the dasheen love feast” uses dasheen as the main ingredients to create appetizers, entrees, desserts, beverages and liqueurs that are cooked and prepared by Tobago’s finest Chefs and Cooks. Listed as one of the world’s best food festival by CNN, the Tobago Blue Food Festival is held every year in mid-October in the coastal village of Bloody Bay, Tobago, Trinidad and Tobago.
This tasty festival not only brings the local chefs and cooks together, but also the general public and domestic, regional and international tourists who visits these shores.
There is live entertainment to serenade the crowd while some of the island’s favourite signature dishes are prepared and presented for best overall dasheen dish & Cook of the day, most innovative dasheen dish, best dasheen dessert, best dasheen beverage, best baked dasheen dish, and best table display.
Food is available for purchase along with tons of specialty blue food items to take home; like dasheen punch, wine, kuchela, cookies and much more.

TIPS: Bring umbrellas; Consider wearing waterproof/mud-friendly shoes. Bring your own chair, if possible. Be prepared to park your car at the village entrance and take a shuttle to the festival location.
