We love a good lunch. We love a good lunch with a great view. We love a good lunch with a great view that includes chocolate!
On a trip to St. Lucia, we heard of Boucan by Hotel Chocolat, a boutique hotel and cocoa estate on the well known Rabot Estate that unapologetically overlooks the Pitons. We jotted it down and made an afternoon date of it.
We tasted fresh off the tree natural unprocessed cocoa, the chocolate that it is skillfully and patiently made into, and of-course hot chocolate. The saying is true, “fresh is best”. The views of the rest of St. Lucia, including the Pitons was not bad either.
The best part of this afternoon, however, was getting the opportunity to not just have a tasty lunch but to also get a tour of the Boucan.
Don’t let the word estate fool you. This place feels as charming and as seclusive as ever!
If we were not already staying someone where else, we would have booked a room and enrolled in the available chocolate making classes, which I hear is not just informative, but loads of fun. I mean, just think of the samples!
