Sundays are just marvelous! In the Caribbean, not only is it church day, but for many it is also an anticipated beach day. The term “beach day” is not just reserved for ocean and sand; it can also refer to waterfalls and rivers. Waterfalls like YS Falls, located on the South Coast of Jamaica. Sunday beach day is a day to relax, be with family, eat a tasty lunch packed from home, or bought at a roadside stop. It is just pure awesomeness, beach Sunday.
So, on this here Sunday we wanted to acknowledge the beauty and tranquility of YS Falls. An alternative to the popular Dunn’s River Falls, YS Falls is hidden away in the lively colors of Jamaica. So tucked away that you have to park your car on the main road and then hop on a jitney provided by the fall operators. The jitney takes you through a vibrant and thriving plantation; fruits, vegetables, horses. On arrival you are greeted by the first soft sounds of the water gushing down from the seven falls.
Swim, swing from a rope, hike, lay out and let the sun hit you, zipline over the falls (yes!). However you do it, if it’s a fun filled and relaxing Sunday (or any day) that you are after, it’s here, at YS Falls. #JamaicaLove #BeachSunday
