There are few beaches that are as pure and as secluded as Tropic of Cancer Beach.
Located on Little Exuma in the Bahamas and otherwise known as Pelican Beach, this chunk of beach heaven is named after the meridian line that defines the northern extent of the tropics and crosses right through it.
Go to the beach for the obligatory picture of you at the tropic of cancer line, but stay for the white sand and seclusion on a beach that is the longest and prettiest on Little Exuma.
On our visit there we had the beach all to ourselves for a couple hours before we were joined by one additional person hundreds of feet away.
After you spend a morning or afternoon here, immediately head over to Santana’s Grille Pit for a grilled lobster and a kalik beer.
Pack a snack and some water as there are no refreshment stands nearby. A camera is mandatory.
