Day or night, St. Lawrence Gap in Barbados is a great place to eat, have a drink and a chat with locals and tourists alike.
Located in Christ Church, The Gap, as its locally called, is a little over three quarters of a mile stretch of road lined with restaurants, night clubs, shops, and hotels. It provides a relaxed but exciting atmosphere to stroll, shop, and indulge.
We recently took a night stroll ourselves through The Gap.
In the mood for country music? Find it on The Gap! You may even find yourself leafing through the karaoke book for your favorite Kenny Rogers tune. If country music is not your style, there are other bars and clubs with different genres and personalities.
There is also the option of just sitting down for a meal or a drink in a somewhat quiet (or more quiet) spot. From Greek, to Italian, to Irish to local cuisine, including a local favorite of pudding and souse, you can almost eat around the world on The Gap.
We decided on a couple drinks and watched some friends attempt karaoke. It didn’t go down very well. All in all though, it was a beautiful evening.
- The Gap is also close to beaches and accommodations
- It is also a great daytime destination
- The Nightlife will go on until 4/5am
